Apply to join the Teenage Cancer Trust Youth Advisory Group
Thank you for stopping by to apply for our Youth Advisory Group 2022-24. We are so happy to hear that you might like to become a member of the group and can’t wait to read your application.
At Teenage Cancer Trust we’re committed to delivering a service to young people with cancer, that is embedded in safe working practices. Any concerns for your safety or wellbeing will be discussed with the Designated Safeguarding Lead who may recommend the need for further advice or support from external agencies or your NHS Trust. For more information, please see our Safeguarding Statement.
The Youth Advisory Group is all about providing Teenage Cancer Trust with a clear and diverse picture of young people’s experience of cancer, treatment and life. It isn’t necessarily about how well you can write or even deliver a presentation to large groups of people. It’s about how you can work with a group to ensure Teenage Cancer Trust can learn from your experiences and do our best for the young people we support.
We actively want to make sure we are representing all young people with cancer and understand that people’s identity, background and experiences can impact their cancer journey. We would love to hear from people with disabilities, who are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ people and people from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
