This Christmas young people like Abigail need your support
HELLO! magazine and Teenage Cancer Trust are teaming up this Christmas to raise vital funds for young people with cancer.
Support young people like Abigail
We’re thrilled that our Honorary Patrons HRH Princess Beatrice, HRH Princess Eugenie and their mother Sarah, Duchess of York, have joined forces with HELLO! and some of the young people we support to shine a light on the incredible work of Teenage Cancer Trust’s nurses, youth support teams and hospital units this Christmas.
As part of the appeal Abigail, 13, who was diagnosed with leukaemia in the lead up to Christmas 2020, is sharing her story. She’s been supported by Teenage Cancer Trust all through treatment this year – including when she contracted coronavirus.
“It wasn’t fun at all as even my mum wasn’t allowed out. The nurses all had to dress up in Covid safety gear when they came in to see me and we couldn’t have any other visitors.
“My nurses and Youth Support Coordinators helped me and my mum get through it, and I know Teenage Cancer Trust will be there to support me over the festive season this year too.
“Please donate to the HELLO! & Teenage Cancer Trust Christmas appeal. I hope all young people like me get the support they need this Christmas, and in the future.”
Whatever you’re able to give, we really value your donation. Because right now, young people with cancer need our support more than ever. Thank you.
How we help everyday
- We have 28 specialist units in NHS hospitals across the UK
- We fund 92 Teenage Cancer Trust Nurses and Youth Support Coordinators
- In 2020 we invested £9.5 million in life-changing cancer services
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through the toughest times they may have faced. We’re the only UK charity meeting this vital need.
Teenage Cancer Trust is a registered charity: 1062559 (England & Wales), SC039757 (Scotland).
